My wife gave birth to a baby girl on Saturday, 26 June at 11.25pm. She and the baby are both well and have already returned home after one night in the hospital. It was a long and difficult labor but the baby was born naturally, weighing 4.0kg (8.8lbs), our biggest yet. We have named her Najihah, which means the sucessful one or the happy ending.
For those of you having trouble keeping track, and I don’t blame you a bit, that brings us up to five. Ridhwan is 7 now, Salihah 5, Zahidah 2, Munirah 1, and now Najihah. SR will be home on maternity leave for two months, while even I get a week off for paternity (thank you government of Malaysia!). Please keep mother and baby in your prayers.

Salaam alaikum, Congrats, brother. What a beatiful baby, masha’Allah. May Allah ta’ala watch over you and your family.
Let me the first one to say “Congratulations!!”
Wah! Congratulations! No ‘Muhammad’ then, eh? Teehee…
To tell you the truth, I’ve lost count already.
Syukur to God, and congratulations!
Congratulations.
Congratulations Br. Zayn.
May Allah make all our children good people and all good people Muslims!
Mabruk Alhamdulillah all went well. Not easy getting a 4 kg baby out. Inshallah your new addition will bring you much happiness.
Congratulations on your newest addition to your family. May God grant His blessings upon you and your kin. Btw, did I ever mention that my “mentor” goes by the name of Gregory as well? He’s a well-known Australian producer and has taught me alot of what I need to know in music.
Best regards.
Imagine that! I was browsing on ‘melanau’ and here i found ur blog and a cute baby with the same birthdate as me!! 30+ odd years ago, also on a Saturday I was told sometime during dinner before my mom got shot (phew!! just a graze on the forehead) by a stray bullet. Nhow..congratulations!!

Granfalloon (n) : "A proud and meaningless association of human beings." A word coined by Kurt Vonnegut (1922-2007) in his book Cat's Cradle. I was recalling the concept recently for some reason but couldn't bring the term to mind. There it is: A granfalloon. The idea is illustrated in the book by a woman from Indiana who is just thrilled to meet Hoosiers everywhere she goes, a Hoosier being a name for people from the state of Indiana, but the shared qualities she recognizes in Hoosiers exists only in her own mind. Thanks, Kurt.
